9x12 watermedia (Brusho, gouache, watercolor) on Canson 140 lb cold press paper done this afternoon. I wanted to paint this hawk again from a previous time and was inclined to experiment with Brusho again. Using brown and black bottles of the crystals, I sprinkled them onto spritzed paper then colored in his eye with puddles of pigment. Background was yellow, black and green. Gouache was used to add white highlights and reflections in his eye.
